About Us
SheekGeek was started in the summer of
2005. Sheek is the pronunciation of the word "chic" which
is defined as "cleverly stylish". The definition of the
word "geek", by our standards, is a "lover of
technology". The combination of the two words, chic and geek,
yields a "cleverly stylish lover of technology".
The
initial concept was simple; to get more people interested in science
and engineering by producing cheap but fun educational kits. The
W.A.S.P Original and the W.A.S.P. Solderless were the first kits
SheekGeek produced. They were designed in the summer of 2005. The
W.A.S.P. Solderless has undergone a few revisions before becoming the
kit that it is today. Since then, W.A.S.P. kits have been shipped all
over the world! There have been workshops using the W.A.S.P. from
North Carolina to Switzerland.
The Black Widow Walker was the
second kit designed by SheekGeek. It was released in the summer of
2007. It has been used in a summer camp for high school students
.
SheekGeek became a Limited Liability Corporation in 2007.
We continue to strive for excellence in our products and to help
educate the world.
